Cladding, Electricals, Roof etc

Quick updates for this week;

Remaining cladding were installed at the side and back of the house.  Colorbond roofing for the garage was also completed.

Frames for the sliding doors were installed. Rangehood ducting were positioned to be vented outside.

 Kitchen bench electrical rough-ins for the outlets and strip lights.

Electrical outlets for the downlights (x15).  These were located in the family, kitchen and foyer.  All other rooms shall have battens for downlight installation after handover.

Since I'm not having NBN hub, Costa Electricals offered to provide a conduit from the garage going to the WIR. This means that the NBN box will be installed in the WIR alongside wih my router and NAS.

Roof Tiles - Ground Floor

Before the week ended, ground floor roof tiles were completed at the back part of the house (alfresco and media room).

Colorbond roofing (at the garage) was left to be done. This was scheduled for the following week, alongside with the electrical fit-out.

Paint

Middle of this week, painting were done on the facade weatherboard cladding. As expected, the Flotsam paint that we chose from the colour swatches had a different shade when it was painted in the facade. Looked like it had a blue color hue. It didn't looked too bad. The black window frames even gave some accent on the cladding.  And finally, we had a glimpse of the actual colors of the facade. 

Scaffolds were down. 

We're very hopeful that by the end of the week, they could finish up the remaining cladding and roof tiles in the alfresco/media room. It needs to be finished before the electrical guys do their thing inside the house.

I have scheduled a private inspector before the plasterboards are put up. Rough date was mid of February but from the looks of it, it won't happen. It's a long way to go.

Downpipes + Aircon Ducts

There was no activity for two weeks until the last day of this week.  They just installed the downpipes and the aircon ducts. I'm not a happy chappy.

Aircon guy was outside, installing the duct in our neighbor's home also.

Facade Weatherboard Cladding

The facade was completed this week.  Weatherboard cladding (on top of the garage) was installed last. It's a Scyon Matrix cladding. Very glad how it turned out - not too shabby.

We're slowly getting there. Paint works next.

Eaves - First Floor

Thought I would never see this day... eaves were completed today.

Weatherboards were also delivered.

Cladding were now ready for installation.  Matrix for the facade and Linea for the sides.

(Not so) Happy New Year

Wishing everyone a great new year ahead. This year will be awesome. Goals were now set for the business and investments. And with the new home set to be handed over mid-year, it will be one hell of a {crazy} time.

The construction was set to resume 2nd week of January.  As this day came into a view, we were all getting fired up. Very exhilarated to talk to our supervisor to hear his plans for the week. Unfortunately, the excitement was killed - Headshot! *Splat*. No plans for the week as there were "no carpenters" available for eaves installation. Tradesmen were still on holidays (well, good on them!!). 

What a way to start the year..  :(

Tradesmen were scheduled to resume the following week. Still looking forward to it. Thanks to our supervisor for the transparency though. All good.
